  • Binding

In addition to side or saddle-stitched (stapled) booklets we offer two other forms of document binding: Ring Binding and Thermal Binding

Ring Binding

In addition to being very secure, ring binding has the advantage that the final document can lie completely flat. We offer either plastic or metal rings in various sizes to accommodate anything up to 11mm (metal) or 50mm (plastic) at a very reasonable cost. Please note that your document does have to include an inside margin or at least 1.5cm to allow for the comb's hole punch.

Thermal Binding

Thermal binding involves wrapping a cover around the document, with the inside edge lying in a channel filled with hot melt glue. The document is then placed in the binder that melts the glue and when cold, holds the pages securely. In addition to looking very professional, this method has the advantage that there are a wide variety of covers available, from clear plastic to hard covers in a range of colours that can be embossed (the ones we use for our Yearbooks).

We hold clear plastic covers in a range of sizes to accommodate 40, 80 and 120 sheets, and plain blue hard covers suitable for 80 sheets. Other covers can be ordered to your requirements.
